I can't force or will a "calm" or "peace" to myself.
I must, for my very Life depends on it, accept the free gift of God's love and grace as my Peace and Calm.
He is the only one who can place a Rest upon my soul.
I will constantly wage war against myself because of my humanity, so it's absurd to think I can bring about a peace for myself.
So, I must be within the fold of God to experience his peace. My life must be an exhibition of his goodness towards me.
I must seek him to have my peace.
